Should you have a signature cocktail? A lot of the weddings I went to have a signature drink named by the couple, it’s something to remember their special event by. It is up to if you want to have one, it’s not a requirement, but more of another cool way to add a personal touch to your wedding. It doesn’t even have to be cocktails, it could be mocktails, or just regular coolers or iced tea with a specific flavor chosen by you, as a couple. Doesn’t even have to be an original mix, but maybe some of your favorite cocktail flavors are infused with it?

There are different types of cocktails, literally hundreds you mix up. SO I think in order to narrow it down, you should choose according to the color. What is the color of your wedding? Once you have answer, creating a cocktail that will produce that color is easy.

Let’s start with the popular colors. I am not going to list all of the steps on how do this drinks. It’s up to you to mix and match, try and see what it taste like. I am going to list the ingredients you would need. Just play with it, mix them all up to create your signature drink taste.

BLUE - any shade or hues of blue

There’s a liqueur you can add to any drink that will make your drink blue, and the most popular one is the Blue Curacao. You can literally make any cocktail you want with this.

Sapphire Martini - you just need blue curacao, gin, and dry vermouth.

Blue tequila sunrise - blue Curacao, tequila, orange juice.

Blue Curacao Mojito - club soda, Blue curacao, lime, mint leaves, rum.

Blue Margarita - Lime juice, blue curacao, tequila, salt.

Blue lagoon - blue curacao, vodka, lemonade, lemon slice to garnish.

RED.

Red Jolly rancher - Green apple vodka, cranberry juice, peach schnapps.

Bishop cocktails - Rum, red wine, lime juice.

Red Lotus - Cranberry juice, rum, lychee liqueur.

Red Sangria - orange, pear, lemon, cranberry juice, red wine, berries, water.

Red Sea Breeze - cranberry juice, vodka, grapefruit juice, ice.

Cuba Libre - white rum, lime juice, cola.

PURPLE

Crème be Violette is the main ingredient to make most of these purple drinks.

Purple Haze - cranberry juice, lime juice, raspberry liqueur, vodka.

Violet Fizze - Crème de Violette, blueberry liqueur, gin, garnish.

Purple martini - vodka, brandy, crème de Violette, red wine.

Purple rum - cranberry juice, pineapple juice, rum, blueberry liqueur, grenadine.

GRAY

Gray Ghost - blue curacao, crème de Violette, maraschino cherry liqueur, gin, lemon juice.

WHITE

White Lady - gin, orange liqueur, 1 egg white, lemon juice.

Eggnog - Bourbon, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, egg.

PIna Colada- Rum, coconut milk, pineapple juice.

Frozen Margarita - orange juice, lemon juice, lemon sherbet, ice, rum.

Viva Villa - Tequila, lime juice, lemon juice, sugar syrup.

These are just some of the drinks you can try. You can buy the ingredients and play with the mixes to achieve the color you want. That is if you are doing a DIY bar for your wedding reception. If it is at a hotel, then it’s up to the bartender to figure it out. I am pretty sure he knows what to do to incorporate the wedding color into the drink.
