pool party, anyone?

Years ago, I bought my best friend a small decorative stone slab, and written on top is “WHY NOT?” It was so perfect for him because he’s the type of person that always thinks every idea, no matter how improbable, can be done, because, why not? 

I thought about doing a pool party/barbeque for after the wedding ceremony. Yes, you read it right. At this point, you’re probably thinking, “Are we even still talking about a wedding reception?” But then again, why not? 

Wedding ceremony

There’s a local pool rental around where I live. It’s called Scona pool. It has a small room inside to hold food, but just outside, sits a barbeque grill and some patio table and chairs. I wanted to rent that place because I thought, what a fun way to end a special event. Just us, with some family and close friends, having fun  the pool and eating hotdogs and steak.

Well the idea was shutdown by no else but me. Haha. I eventually decided I wanted to have an intimate dinner instead. 

But if you want something like that, definitely check out outdoor or indoor pools for rent around your area. I think not just for wedding but even for any party like wedding shower, gender reveal party, birthday party, bachelor/bachelorette party etc.  And I believe that in some cultures, celebrating near water is Goodluck. I think if you decorate it really well, with your wedding colors, everything will turn out beautiful. And most importantly, FUN!
