private party venues
BOOK A RESTAURANT FOR PRIVATE PARTY This was when my research got easier. There were so many restaurants to choose from.
Suggestion: Look for a family owned restaurant because their restaurant is ever so homey, the owner is always there so the service is amazing, and the food? NEVER not awesome. I had to initially make a list of the people coming. What I realized at that time was that booking a whole restaurant was so expensive and I had to fill it with people, and the payment was per head. My guest list was only about 10 at that time. So booking a whole restaurant was scrapped (mainly due to budgetary concerns)

LOOK INTO PRIVATE ROOMS AT RESTAURANTS OR HOTELS. If you have a small intimate wedding, there are so many restaurants and hotels that offer private rooms, kind of like the place you go to for a small office Christmas party. Most of the places I looked at were very cozy, some even had a fireplace and bricked rooms. This was a less expensive idea because there were not a lot of guests for my wedding. I was thinking of having a romantic, intimate, seat-down dinner after the ceremony.
If you live in an up and coming urban area, I bet there are so many cute little restaurants, many of them for sure have instagrammable rooms and wall that are perfect for wedding pictures. Make a list of the ones you like, just from the pictures you see on their website, or the customer reviews, and then make a schedule to check them out. That way, you don’t waste time looking at each and every private party rooms in your area.
When you go to the location, have your vision for your wedding ready, so that you can picture it while you’re there. You will probably know right away if your vision works for the space that you’re looking at, if it doesn’t, then move on to the next on the list.
