ikea items you can use for your wedding

Ikea is wonderful source for anything you might need for your home or outdoor space. It’s also a wonderful source of items you can use for your upcoming wedding.

Here are some very useful, and affordable items you can buy: (the pictures are not the actual ones you can find at Ikea, but just here to give you some visuals).

  • Starttid Pencil case - it’s a black and white checkered pencil case, for $2.49 US dollars. You can buy one for each of your bridesmaids, and they can put their lip gloss, eye liner, lipstick facial wipes, sanitizer, and whatever else they can fit in there for the ceremony and reception.

  • Nojig small white organizer for $.69 each. You can put mints, or use it for your candy bar station. It comes in different sizes so if you want anything bigger, you can definitely get the bigger ones, they’re very cheap and can be used even after the wedding, for your home organization.

  • Fabrics - if you want to add extra something to your tables, like when the hotel or wedding venue is providing white table cloths, but you want to add extra color, buy a fabric in color, with stripes or prints, and then put it on top of the tables. Doesn’t necessarily have to cover the whole table, but can maybe act as a table liner? The fabrics at Ikea usually go $5.99 per meter, and upwards depending on the design and material.

  • Sheer curtains - they are always on sale at Ikea, a pair usually go for $6.99 and up. You can use it for a back drop of a photo wall or photo booth. Decorate it with some fairy lights, and it will look awesome. You can also use it to line the doors of the entrance, or perhaps, tape it on sides of the head table, kind of like a Tulle.

  • Vissvass LED String light - this is battery operated, using 2 AA batteries. You can use this with the sheer curtain. It is $7.99 each and contains 40 lights.

  • Gradvis plant pot- Ikea has a lot plant pots, they have ceramics, but the really nice ones that I think can be perfect for your centerpiece are the glass pots that they have, it goes for $4.99 - 6.99 depending on the size. I am looking at their website right now, and they have it gray and greenish hue. You can put it in the middle of the table, maybe 2 or 3 of them, and then put some fresh flowers on it, or maybe a candle if your wedding venue allows it. The good thing about buying this is that it looks so pretty, unlike the cheap vases you can buy at the dollar store, that you certainly use it at home even after the wedding.

  • Pluggland Memo board - this memo board is black and priced at $14.99. You can use it as an guest advice holder. You just place cards and pens at a table, the guests can write advice or recipes on there, and then they can tuck it in this memo board.

  • Krosamos Gift bags - they are very cheap at $2.99/4 pack. You can use this as a container for the candy station or maybe fill it with something that you’ll want to give as a wedding favor

  • Paper napkins - you’ll be amazed at all the paper napkin choices you can find at Ikea for your wedding. Different prints galore! Whatever you wedding color is, I’m sure you’ll be able to find a napkin that matches it. That is, if you are not renting or buying cloth napkins. Paper napkins at Ikea are a great alternative. They are so cute. It is priced at $3.99/30 pack.

  • Rackla Foldable bag - this is a black foldable shoulder bag that you can use to house your emergency items, or maybe some snacks and water for you and the groom that you can leave somewhere, or in the bridal car while you travel to go to the photoshoot after the wedding. It’ll be very handy because it’s big enough to put a lot of items in, and doesn’t look like a grocery bag. It is $9.99.

That’s all for now. There are plenty more items you can find that I’m sure will be very useful for your wedding day. The best thing for you to do is go visit the store so you can go to every isle and check out everything.

BUT, don’t forget to visit the AS IS section because that’s where the real DEALS are.
